We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager to support our General Manager in leading the opening of our initial site and to ensure our commitment to excellence in everything we do.

Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership: Supporting the General Manager in: - Overseeing the initial period before opening to ensure the site and the team are operationally ready to hit the ground running once open. - Once open, overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow as well as a happy and engaged team. - Implementing and maintaining all SOPs to ensure high standards of service, cleanliness, and product quality. - Monitoring inventory levels and managing supplies to meet customer demand.

Customer Experience: - Support the General Manager in upholding our commitment to providing an outstanding customer experience. - Proactively interact with customers and the local community to gather feedback and address concerns. Implement initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Financial Management: - Support the General Manager in adhering to budgets, including sales targets and expense control and generating margins for the business. - Be willing to feed into strategic decisions to improve customer satisfaction and profitability.

Quality Control: - Ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality coffee, hot drinks, juices and food items. - Support the General Manager in sourcing the best raw materials and responding to customer demand, trends, the seasons and potential marketing opportunities - Implement and enforce health and safety standards.

Community Engagement: - Build and maintain relationships with the local community and other local businesses and organizations. - Support the General Manager in executing marketing initiatives to increase brand awareness and attract new customers. - Participate in local events and promotions to strengthen community ties.

Qualifications & Experience - Proven experience in a supervisor or assistant manager role within the coffee or hospitality industry. - Strong leadership and organisational skills. - Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities. - In-depth knowledge of coffee as well as preparation techniques and equipment. - Understanding of sustainability practices in the coffee industry. - Familiarity with health and safety regulations. - Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving business goals.
