We are a small, independent, family-run coffee shop specialising in high-quality, specialty coffee. We’re looking for a passionate and skilled barista to join our team, someone who has an eye for consistency and quality and who will bring a friendly, vibrant, and professional attitude to our shop.
Key Responsibilities:
- Crafting well-balanced and flavorful espresso-based beverages with precision and consistency.
- Dialing in espresso daily to ensure optimal flavor extraction.
- Interacting warmly with customers to create a welcoming atmosphere.
- Using and maintaining our specialty equipment, including two Mahlkönig grinders (EK43 and E65S grind-by-weight) and a La Marzocco PB 2 grouphead espresso machine.
- Learning and adhering to end-of-day and end-of-week cleaning protocols to maintain a pristine workspace.
- Performing basic maintenance of coffee equipment to ensure peak performance.
Qualifications:
- Previous barista experience in a specialty coffee environment.
- Strong understanding of coffee brewing methods and espresso preparation.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to quality and consistency.
- Friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor with excellent customer service skills.
- Willingness to learn and grow, with training opportunities available through our partner roasters.
