at SEND Coffee
We have a unique and exciting opportunity for a seasoned Head Barista ready to step into a stable, rewarding role with the potential for growth.
Our new site is a specialty coffee bar located within a corporate setting, where you’ll serve exceptional single-origin espresso-based drinks. To excel in this role, you’ll need to showcase effortless skills in dialing in, milk steaming, and latte art, all while delivering warm, personable customer service. Confidence with filter brewing methods and the ability to “speak the coffee language” in a friendly, approachable manner is essential, in addition to sharing the SEND Coffee story and being comfortable discussing the aims and goals of our charity.
In addition to running the coffee bar, you’ll work alongside other barista stations to oversee and uphold the quality of coffee standards throughout the entire office building. We’re looking for someone with a strong sales acumen and an interest in driving sales to ensure the continued success and sustainability of the role. If you embrace the position and grow with it, exciting progression opportunities within the company may be on the horizon.
If this sounds like the perfect role for you, we’d love to hear from you!
SEND, standing for Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, is a coffee company delivering real impact. We work with young people aged 18-25 with special needs and disabilities, training them up to be baristas in a competitive market.
We train these young adults with disabilities to be baristas in our shops over a 48-week programme. Once we have finished working with them, we help them find jobs with our partners, who we roast coffee for.
We are a management team with combined experience of well over a hundred shop openings or operations, making us one of the most experienced teams in specialty coffee. We still work barista shifts ourselves, as does everyone in the company, meaning this is an opportunity to join a barista-led organisation. We have a small estate of coffee shops around London.
