We have been passionate about people enjoying great speciality coffee, ‘all day, any way’ ever since we started roasting coffee in the basement of our first restaurant 14 years ago. Today, we’re supplying fresh coffee to a range of growing customers in and out of home from our market leading North London roastery. As part of our growth journey, we’re looking for a commercially minded and energetic General Manager to lead and develop our Brew Bars at The Savoy, Euston and our roastery, supporting them to be the ultimate destinations for craft coffee in London.

The Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service champion: ensuring that our Brew Bars are delivering exceptional, friendly and consistent customer service in line with our All Welcome values.

  • Team management: maintaining balanced resource levels, coaching and developing a team of six baristas.

  • Coffee expertise: using knowledge of coffee profiling, brewing and latte art methods to ensure the shops are our showcase for what we can deliver.

  • Brew Bar development: staying informed of trends and recommending creative developments to coffee and food offer.

  • Presentation: keeping a well-presented shop throughout the customer journey including retail merchandising, food displays, menus and seating.

  • Commercial accountability: owning weekly revenue and cost reporting, looking for efficiencies and opportunities to grow sales.

  • Operational planning: replenishing and optimising inbound deliveries, controlling stock well, reducing waste and supporting a move to system-based stock management.

  • Safety & maintenance: keeping all shops compliant with health and food safety standards, updating key policies & risk assessments and being on top of preventative maintenance.

  • Community: building repeat custom, understanding the stakeholders around each Brew Bar and being creative with engagement initiatives.

  • Experienced barista and speciality coffee professional
  • Energetic and positive problem solver
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Analytical and commercially minded
  • Ability to balance creativity and operational feasibility
  • Good knowledge of food safety
