We are seeking a Temporary Assistant Manager for a 6 week period, at our small independent shop located in Wandsworth, while we launch key internal projects.

You’ll play a crucial part in maintaining our high standards and overseeing daily operations of our small independent coffee shop while we develop key internal projects.
This is an incredible opportunity to combine your barista expertise with management skills during an important growth phase. It’s important to mention that once internal projects are launched, upon review, there will be potential opportunity for a permanent manager position.
What You’ll Do:
• Hands-On Leadership: Lead by example as both a skilled barista and an effective manager. Oversee daily operations, making sure we are kept stocked up and prepped each day across all drink and food items, maintain service quality, and ensure a seamless customer experience.
• Barista Expertise: Ensure the quality and consistency of our coffee and matcha offerings remain top-notch. You’ll help train staff, maintain standards, and ensure that every cup meets our excellence.
• Team Leadership: Motivate and support the team, maintaining morale and driving efficiency throughout service. Your hands-on approach will keep the team focused and customers satisfied.
What We’re Looking For:
• Experienced Barista: At least 2 years of barista experience is a must. You’ll need a deep understanding of coffee preparation and the ability to maintain high standards.
• Management Experience: Prior leadership or supervisory experience in a café or restaurant setting is essential. You’re comfortable overseeing operations and making decisions on the go, carryout daily and weekly tasks effectively.
• Problem Solver: You can think quickly, manage challenges, and ensure smooth operations, even in a fast-paced environment.
• Empathy: You have a keen sense of empathy, who can truly understand and anticipate the needs of our team and customers, ensuring everyone feels valued and supported.
• Highly Observant: The ability to notice the small details that make a big difference, from a customer’s subtle preferences to operational efficiencies that can enhance the overall experience.
